and although everything fit pretty well, I will admit it was a lot of work for one person to do, lying on his back in his garage with the car on ramps and jackstands.

I don't know what was involved in fitting your system, but specific to newer 9K's is the second O2 sensor, mounted in the cat. It will have to be relocated and installed into the long pipe just after the high-flow cat you will also have to install. I purchased mine (CarSound) from promuffler.com for $105 (USD). The cat will now be loacted under the car as a separate component, as opposed to under the engine and integrated into the downpipe. There are metal brackets under the car that are there just for this purpose. Because of this, you will also need 2 extra rubber hangers ($7 each). I found, as well as others, that you should buy one Saab rubber hanger, and one aftermarket one ($2) that is longer in length. You will need to modify the openings (Saab's need slits as opposed to circular openings) to get the aftermarket one to fit over the metal brackets on the car and on the JT-supplied cat hanger. Be on the safe side and replace all of the current, old rubber hangers (there are 4 of them).

You will need to purchase an 18mm bung (boss) that the O2 sensor can be screwed into. You can find this at a good auto parts store or speedshop. This bung ($10) will have to be welded to the long pipe just ater the cat. I brought mine to a local Midas shop while it was still in my trunk, and just had them make a hole in the pipe about 8" down from the end that would fit into the outlet end of the cat. They then welded the bung over the hole ($20).

You will have to cut the wires going to the second O2 sensor, and splice in new wire to lengthen it. There are 4 wires contained within the bundle. A trick I used was to use thick speaker wire that has 4 spearate wires contained within the one casing. This way everything stays neat. Then you can route the wire under the car using the plastic holders that the fuel and brake lines are held up by. There should be one available left. Also, when installing the sensor, be sure to have it horizontal and up towards the car a little to keep it from hitting anything while the car is being driven.

Another thing that's different is the positioning of the rear muffler. I'm almost sure it is inverted to the way you did your older 9K. The centered outlet should be facing the rear bumper on newer 9K's. The instructions in the JT box will tell you this.

That's about the only differences. Also, it is better to cut the short extra pipe to fit it into the outlet of the cat, then fit the long extra pipe into this modified short pipe. The instructions say to cut the long pipe, but leaving the long pipe as is and cutting the short pipe makes for a better fit (it will look funny when you see that you have two clamps right next to each other to hold all of these connections together).

Good luck!
