Woke up this morning to find my (formerly pristine) 88 9kS UNDER WATER to the middle of the tail lights! The water has receded, so far changed the engine and tranny fluid. The injection computer is on the kitchen counter drying out. Next in line is to pull the fuel pump and look for water in the gas tank. The almost brand new headlights are still dry on the inside, but the tailights have water in them (will dry that tomorrow). No sign of water getting up near the relays, the box under the 3 DIN trays was only half full of water. Sooooo,, what else would anybody suggest (aside from selling quick)? One thing I did notice is the leather seats are really soft, probably a sign they are going to turn to rocks? Water is still running out of the CD changer (its in the kitchen next to the computer) Speaking of computers, anybody know where to get data rescued off the harddrive of a laptop that was in the trunk of a flooded Saab?
And really O/T: If you do not live in a flood plain, and the county builds a library accross the street from you, and every time it rains after that you have water standing in your yard, who do you complain too? City who owns the street? County who owns the Library? State who paid for it? Idiot who forgot to give the water running off the now fully paved and built on block somewhere to go? Or should I wait untill its a dry spell and sell quick? My neighbor has been in her house 47 years and never had water problems till they built acrooss the street.. I've only been here 3, so between us we are now having water problems for the first time in ? 50 years..
SAAB and legal advice appreciated in advance!
