the central lock module is located under the dash on the driver's side a few inches in front of the hood release handle. it is accessible from underneath the dash and only requires that you remove the cardboard panel (if it's still there).
if you intend to have the driver's side front door lock via remote then you will require a lock module that is the same as the ones on the other three doors. this will require some rewiring but no additional wires need be run. this is assuming that you no longer intend to activate the central locking system via the driver's side door lock mechanism.
if you still desire the capability of doing both remote and manual locking this will necessitate the a five wire hookup to the driver's side lock and the installation of the 2 additional wires to that location(3 already run there).
i accomplished this by splitting open a passenger side lock mechanism obtained from a junkyard and combining it with the switch mechanism from the original driver's side door lock unit.
i have no knowledge of the Taiwanese unit you mention so i can be of no help there.
one thought tho: if that unit costs more than $50. i'd invest in a alarm system that incorporates a remote locking option. the car is prewired for an alarm system.
