Oil Level sensor

Yesterday when I started my car the oil level warning light stayed on after all the other ones went out, so I shut the car down and checked the oil level. It was a little below the middle of High and Low so I topped it up and the light stayed on. Knowing that I had oil in the engine I started moving and the light went away. I've driven the car a couple of times today and the occasionally stays on for until I move the car, and the other times it goes out with the other warning lights. Does this sound like the oil level sensor is going south?
