I was in the thicket so to speak, with no computer access (and only bouts of electricity for that matter)....heading into another thicket in February. This one is in China, and I've checked with my wife (who is there now), and wouldn't you know I will have internet. A few cockroaches...but internet. I'm so shocked I probably won't use it.

Anyway, the Saab has sat for some time now, and has mysteriously developed a massive oil leak (a quart every 2 weeks)..so that has to be fixed (r main seal). The motor mounts have exploded once again (Swedish Dynamics poly on the way), and it pops out of second gear while turning left and shifting at very low RPM. The shifting really raises a brow, as it doesn't pop out of 2nd gear any other time excepted the aformentioned occasions. It could be the syncro, but I'm hoping it's the engine swimming as a result of 2 totally blown lower motor mounts. At low RPM when I shift into 2nd it sometimes seems like it engages only half way, followed by a quick grind, and out she pops. The shift linkage is off so maybe I should try adjusting that as well.....I dunno it seems to all a big coincidence as this all happened when the mounts went. We'll see...

Other than that, after 150K modified, it still boosts past 25psi and goes like a scalded cat. And the short shifter mod today is very nice....what a difference.

So in between actually remembering how to drive (it's been a while) I can crack a smile when I chirp them 3rd @ 90kph:-)
