Hole in Oil Pan? How can it be? Sabotage?

While changing the oil in my 91 9000S yesterday I saw a Countersunk hole about the size of a dime at the base of the oil pan on the opposite end from the drain plug. There was no oil leaking from it. Stuck a screw driver in there. It appears that the pan is double walled? Not losing any oil however. Should I plug the hole? I dont ever renmember seeing the hole, especially that big. Can't believe it was a rock, too perfect. Have I always missed it?
