I had the same problem last year with my saab 9k, but it was due to a leak on the fuel return hose. I think the previous mechanic forcibly inserted the fuel pump inlet port into the hose. I had to replace that plastic inlet port and re-inserted the hose ( by heating the hose to soften it and be inserted easily). Now, your problem is the o-ring (o-ring on the fuel pump cover). It is easy to replace. You can access the fuel pump thru an oval access in the trunk (near the spare tire well). Remove the wire connector, then loosen the pump cover and you'll see the o-ring where the gas could leak. Mine. I used the same o-ring, only I used gasket maker to seal it.
