Do you like having the security of knowing that when you've done
a job yourself, it was probably done right. Ok, it would take a real
klutz to screw-up a spark plug job, but, although it's not intensive
labor, it does take me some time to get the gaps exactly how I want
them. Now, the 'old' NGK's go for $1.79 each. It takes less than
5 minutes to remove them. This is a job that I enjoy looking forward
to every year! I don't get real dirty, my back doesn't get twisted out
of joint, and I like seeing the tops of my pistons every once in a
while. The 'alternative' is to pay almost 10 times more for each plug?
My car runs great with the 'old' plugs. Why would I consider paying
10 times the amount to replace a plug that works fine. Will the
'new' one work 10 times better? Highly unlikely. If Michael is
happy paying this price for plugs, more power to him. I'll save my
money for other things and joyfully spend the time replacing my
plugs every year!
