Help!! The car is on the lift and I'm stumped. Need help!
I am in the middle of installing a JT exhaust from turbo back. I have just spent the last hour looking through the search files for info and almost found the answers! Joe98 asked some questions about a month ago similar to mine but didn't quite get the answers ..... Those of you who have this system please help me with these problems I am running into.
1st. The down pipe is extremely close to the oil line. Is that normal?
2nd. The tailpipe extends approximately 2-3 inches further than Bill's or RedAero's do. I do not see any way to trim it or the muffler pipe in front of it. There just doesn't seem to be room..... Plus, the rear muffler hanger doesn't fit correctly without moving the muffler further to the rear. This then pushes the tailpipe even further out from the bumper. Anyone have/had a similar issue??
3rd. Does everyone's downpipe hang low under the car?? If so, has anyone had problems??
I am to say the least a little disappointed, and would like to hear some of your comments on installing the JT on your cars. The downpipe looks great but it really is 'tight' in there. Overall I like the product but want to get it on the car correctly and even with a lift it isn't easy. The timing for this exhaust change is good as the original exhaust system had numerous rust throughs from Northern winter roads.
Thanks for your help all!!
Mike
