I suspect if you do it from the outside you'd damage the trim.
You can push the plastic knobs from inside. That of couse means removing the door inside plastic cover. There are two bolts on the handle, and two more on the either edge of the map pocket. Those on the handle are covered by plastic caps. The ones for the pocket are covered by similar by thinner caps.
After removal of trim, gently peel away the foam cover to reveal the door inside. The foam cover is fastened to the door panel by metal tabs. Take care not to rip the foam sheet. Use a blunt philips to push the plastic knobs out. These plastic knobs locks into round plastic inserts fitted into holes on the door panel.
Unlike most Japanese cars, no mastic is used as adhesive in the door to fasten some clear plastic sheet to the door panel. You can put everything back perfectly together.
