Injectors will help if you go to a MBC or tweak the APC for more boost. If you go more than about 26#/hour rating though, you may have to add a resistor to keep your idle smooth and prevent running rich at idle/cruise.
I have the Accel 24# injectors (actually just barely more than stock, because they are rated at 3.0 bar fuel pressure, while the stock are 21# but at 2.5 bar fuel pressure). Anyhow.. Nothing is needed with the 24# to keep a decent idle and fuel economy, the ECU has enough range to adjust for the little bit of extra fuel. Where you really start to lose fuel economy is when you upgrade the fuel pressure regulator - fixed rate will be a given increase is fuel usage across the board, all rpms and loads, at least this is my understanding. A rising rate fuel pressure regulator can help alleviate this problem somewhat, as you can set it close to stock fuel pressure at idle/cruise, while still having fuel for extra boost. However, it will give you too much fuel in the midrange (or not enough fuel on the top end - take your pick). As you have no doubt read, this has been discussed ad nauseum on the Performance BB.
My car still can get 34 MPG at cruise because A) only 24# injectors, B)RRFPR which at cruise is just slightly over stock FPR, C) Jacobs ignition (added about 10% MPG - first performance upgrade I did). Before I did the fuel mods I was getting 36 MPG.
Incidentally, my average MPG on the EDU always reads low - at least 1.0 MPG lower than actual, has been as much as 3.0 MPG low. It used to read dead on before I messed with everything.
My car was 200 HP at the wheels, slightly less now since I detuned it, about 190 HP, though I may tweak timing and that could bring it right back up to 200, now that I have 94 octane fuel available. Either way, a good guess for HP at the crank is 220-230 HP.
