Raising the base boost will enable slightly faster spool-up, but the throttle
response will get very non-linear. You can try it, but most people just
end up setting the base boost to the maximum side of the spec.
As for resetting the ECU, I would just do some adaptation runs.
Find a nice long hill, shift into 3rd, nail the throttle from 2000 rpm
to 4000 rpm. Repeat a few times.
