...Nick, I am reassured that I do not need to, although I am a little suspicious. I haven't found OE struts for less than £150 each in my brief skim round the web.

I am in a "can't be bothered with it" juncture in my year, today, so I will have to grimace and put up with it. 100 miles a day and 14 hours a day have put paid to any inclination to pick up a spanner.

Bill - 9k prices are abysmal, but so are all 2nd hand car prices. I am not a "keep my 9000 for ever" person, and selling it is never going to be easy, but a full dealer stamped service book may swing the balance for someone. In typical fashion, labour charges are ludicrous, but you should see the prices my dad pays for servicing his 740iL at Ashridge BMW (£84 labour an hour last time I saw...!!!!!!)

Only the one water pump (saw a very cheap one on German & Swedish...)

Oh well. I hope the poly bushes are worth it. I will get through the next service (probably about June next year) then sell. On my list of next cars are:

Audi RS2
E34 BMW M5 (with 6speed and Nurburgring suspension)
TVR Griffith 500 (for the summer)
Audi S8
Audi RS6 (in my dreams)
Merc SL55 AMG (in my dreams)

Anyone want an excellent black over cream 97 Aero with (what will be) 102k miles, about June next year.....?
