his oil changes go too long. I do remember installing that seal on
one of my vehicles, probably four or five years ago. I didn't have the
tool and I do remember it being very tricky. I think we'll leave it
as-is. Gripen has allowed some sludge and depost to build. The
inside of the bellhousing was encrusted with a very thick layer of
'crud' that must have originated from a leak at the corner of the
cam shaft cover. And then there's the matter of his slave, which
I think was leaking some hydraulic fluid. So, yes, there was a build -up of sludge and deposits - not only on the engine, but inside the
bell-housing, too. Still, your opinion of the seals sturdiness lead to
me think that the adage 'if it aint broke.....' applies here.
