Vacuum leak found... how to fix?

Finally I found the vacuum leak I was searching for in my intake system, but I can't fix it at the moment. I hope someone can help me, I know it's not a very simple question but I know there's someone overseas that know the thing I need to know (Ari?).
Well, the problem is in the EGR valve (under the intake manifold and the throttle body). There are two small black rubber hoses coming to it: one from something on the engine block, between cylinders 2 and 3 intakes, from where another small hose starts and goes to something on the false bulkhead (firewall), wich has three hoses. The other hose on the EGR valve is 15 cm long (about 6 inches), and goes to... nowhere! It's hanging between engine and firewall, and if I start the engine I can feel it sucking air.
So the question is: where do I have to hook that damned hose? Ther semm to be no free places housings on the throttle body, where it would be naturali to hook it. BTW, what's that three-hosed thing on the firewall?
Thanks in advance to everyone
