It gets better reviews nowadays, so I bought one. It falses less than the Valentine. Reviews say it covers just as well, but I have no idea how well it does from the rear in practice. It's plenty sensitive in general. Although it does false less than the V1, it still does false. I finally decided to tie the silence switch into the horn buttons (using a relay). I moved the horn function to the dash, using a momentary pushbutton switch mounted where the rear flasher switch was originally (94 Aero), and moved the flasher switch down by the ashtray. No cigarette lighter/power outlet at present. I'm very happy with the whole setup. Bear in mind, though, that I hardly ever use the horn, so it didn't bother me to move it.
And yes, everything I've read about passive jammers says that they don't work.
