Vibration gone... ?

Update on my vibration problem....
So I took the front hub apart. The splines had tons of old thread locking stuff on them and the fit was very tight. Cleaned them all with a screw driver and a tooth brush and the shaft seated in the hub nicely w/o any force. All splines looked like new.
Then made everything ready for a fast reassembly prior to applying a small amount of thread locking compound on the outer 10mm of the stubshaft.
I used a 800mm bar and 40kgs of myself on a bathroom scale as a 280Nm torque wrench.
The car drives like new again.
Strange world. Tires balanced 5 times, twice off the rims and tons of other checks - all in vain. Should look at the simple and logical things first. You live and you learn.
Time for a beer !
Regards from Finland
Tapani
