Remove the grille from the front. Pop out the ash tray or ACC control module. Gently depress the tangs which retain the temp sensor to the dash from the front side and gently pull it free of the dash from behind (more room if you pull out the ACC). Disconnect the plug. Blow it clean of dust with compressed air (canned air if a compressor is not handy). Use a q-tip to remove collected muck from the fan blades. gently pry the tangs away from the body that hold the end cap on the motor. Once removed, you will see a small metal pin in the center. I used a very small dollop of silicone lube (dielectric grease) on this pin. Snap back together. spray a small amount of silicone lube on the pin at the other end of the fan. This little device is a synchronous motor and has these pin bearings for long life. Mine is now silent again even when cold ('95 CS)
