I just did a conversion from Auto to Manual on my 1991 9000 Turbo.
Parts needed include:
1. transmission 1991 through 1993 work
2. Flywheel (must be turbo and manual 1991 through 1993 works)
3. Rear bearing support behind engine (These are marked "M" for manual, "A" for auto) Need Manual
4. Driver side half axle (Manual axle is longer, and must be turbo) A turbo shaft has a much beefer CV joint and the trunions (3 ball bearings)are slightly longer and have a larger diameter.
5. Linkage for shifter, must electrically jump #1 to #5 on wiring (driver side harness) that plugs into auto shifter.
6. Full pedal assembly (clutch, brake, and gas pedal assembly)
In order to get the 5th bolt out from the pedal assembly I used a 12mm deep socket and a 1/4" extension. I backed the bolt all the way out, but the bolt and rachet assembly back themselves against a metal wall. I used a sawzall to cut the 1/4" extension and everything fell back out. I did not re-install this 5th bolt.
7. New clutch, throw out bearing, and hydraulic lines for clutch. (Don't be cheap)
