Reason I ask is because I just had a 4-wheel alignment done a week ago at my local tire shop.
The printed sheet they gave me shows what the allowable range is, as well as what it was before and what it became after doing the alignment. The car was basically in specs (as far as front toe goes, which I know is the only thing adjustable on these cars), but they "tweaked" it slightly, still keeping it in the acceptable range (I guess to make it look like they did something since I just shelled out $60).
My question is should I be concerned that some of the unadjustable variances are out of range or that one side of the car's specs does not match the other side's for the same component?
For instance:
Left front camber is -1.0 (ok), right is -1.5 (bad), and the range is -1.2 to -0.2.
Left rear toe is 0.01 (bad), right is 0.10 (ok), and the range is 0.04 to 0.14.
Left front caster is 2.0 (ok), right is 1.5 (ok), and the range is 1.2 to 2.2.
Currently, the car pulls to the left a lot when I take my hands off the wheel to test it (this is even so after having the alignment). And I also have very bad front-end shakes when the car reaches 85 mph and smooths out when it reaches 100 mph (just for testing purposes, I swear!!!!!). I'm sure the shakiness is due to improper wheel balancing since I just rotated my wheels/tires.
Should I take the car to a Saab dealer who whould know more about setting these cars to specs, or is the local tire shop just as good?
Do I have a problem with my suspension components since some of the specs are out of range?
I just replaced my front end sway bar bushings with oem rubber, new end links with new poly bushings (both of my old links were bent pretty bad), new poly front control arm rear bushings, and new rear sway bar poly bushings. I also tightened up any bolt/nut front and rear that would take the extra turn of my ratchet (the left rear suspension actually had a few of these). I did all of this before I had the alignment.
Any help on this matter is appreciated.
