Well, anything fun can't be good for you. Which is the cynical yankee way of saying all things come at a price. A 1993 turbo is a fun car to drive, but you really need to get on top of the maintenance right now. If you let it go, this car is going to be a nightmare.
The first thing I would do is to pull the s-belt and check all pulleys for movement. I agree with KeithG that you may have a crank pulley which is failing. This is something that you absolutely want to get on top of because if the crank pulley breaks, the part that comes free will fly around and can destroy other accessories. It sounds like the belt tensioner strut may also be weak, and the plastic pulleys shot.
The next thing to worry about is the temperature. Replace the thermostat with OEM 82 degree. Flush it like crazy. You don't want to overheat these cars. Refill and you should notice a huge difference in the temperature. You can also get an 82 degree fan switch while you are at it.
The driving noise sounds like a broken belt in a tire to me. Try moving the tires around and see if the noise migrates.
The headlight problem is very likely the skinny orange relay in the engine compartment relay box. Take it out and bang it on the engine fan shroud a couple of times for a short term improvement.
For a great improvement in handling and response, replace the rear bushings on the front control arm and the torque motor mounts.
Put the time in now and you will be rewarded. Let it slide and you are going to hate that car.
