Well, the code 6 means that the O2 sensor sends either a lean or a rich signal to the ECU. It can be a true indication of lean/rich OR a busted sensor.
It means that for whatever reason, your engine could be running so lean or rich, that the O2 feed back system can not correct the mixture to stoich.
I would start with checking the color of the spark plugs.
The engine might be running lean due to a vacuum leak or if the intake air temp sensor signal is way out of its tolerances or if its starving for fuel.
If it's running rich, you're obviously getting too much fuel. Maybe the fuel pressure regulator doesn't work as designed or maybe the vacuum tube has a leak.... The fuel pressure is modulated according to intake pressure. Vacuum means lower fuel pressure, high boost equals to higher fuel pressure.
Of course you can try and replace the O2 sensor, but it might not be broken.....
There's been several posts in the past how to measure the O2 sensor output with a DVM. Then you'll know if you're getting a lean or a rich signal....
