Let's hope it's the sender. As LesH says, get a read oil pressure gauge on it and see what's up. In the meantime, don't drive it.
If it's the sender, well, then good. I have had senders fail. If the pressure is low, it could be the pump, but before you replace the pump, replace the spring in the pressure bypass valve. If that spring breaks or gets weak, the pump pressure will be low. That would tend to show up at all speed, but it's cheap and easy.
One (hopefully) happy sign is that you didn't mention any increase in noise. True low oil pressure in the Saab engine tends to be accompanied by a lot of valve clatter. If the engine isn't noticably louder, it may just be the sender. But don't take chances - get it checked immediately!
