no matter what the temperature.
Do you know when the cooling system was serviced last? You may have a slow to react t-stat or an 88 deg Celsius rating instead of an 82. You will notice an uncomfortable swing on the guage if you have the hotter t-stat since it waits much longer to open. Also if you don't have the proper t-stat it won't work the way it should. Waxstat is the best with Wahler as a good second choice and they shouldn't cost more than $15-25 depending where you get one. They are designed to work in Saabs, nothing else is and the results show it. Check with a site sponsor if you need one, that would be your best deal.
Last winter (I'm in Wis.) I had an 88 deg. in there for hotter heat and the guage was at 10 o'clock or higher all winter whether it was -10 or 40 deg F. I didn't want it running that warm all the time so I've switched to an 82 for year round operation. I've also installed a cooler fan switch so the high speed fan kicks in sooner. Even on the hottest days (95+) the temp guage never went past 10 o'clock, even in traffic.
Good luck!
