The small hose should connect to the right nipple (closest to the throttle). There is an important check valve that goes in the line that connects the crankcase breather (the plastic plug in the valve cover with two hoses) to the intake manifold. The check valve is a small plastic cylinder about 1 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. The valve is gray and white plastic and keeps the turbo from pressurizing the crankcase under boost. If you are missing the valve and the hose that attaches to it, that would explain why the current hose doesn't reach. You will have to buy this check valve from the dealer, if you don't have one now.
