First of all, thanks for that wealth of info!!!!
Now, what is a multimeter? Is that like the gauge used to read ohms, resistance, continuity, etc? I have one of those if that's what a multimeter is.
Also, what is the output lead of the 1st O2 sensor (I have 2 sensors)? There are four wires contained within the electrical connector of the O2 sensor (if this is what you mean), and how do I hook something up to it if I need to have it connected for the engine to run? Do I hook it up to one or all wires?
I'm mechanically able, so you can speak in tech terms.
BTW: I have never changed the fuel filter in this car. I've owned it for over a year now (had 43K miles), it now has 59K miles on it, was in fine shape when I bought it (so I assume it was taken care of), but I do not know if it's the original filter. I've always replaced these things (on past cars) every 15K miles, but when I broached this subject months' ago on the 9000, I was told they are good for 65K (if not more) miles.
