Stainless exhausts for 97 Aero -- opinions on Fox vs .. Posted by John Fitzgerald [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Sabre
Curious about those of you who've used either the Sabre or Fox stainless systems cat back. My car is a 97 Areo 5sp and the oem stuff is starting to go.
I'm happy with the durability of the oem but the high cost of replacing ($375+ for rear muffler alone) plus a better flow makes me consider a stainless system.
I do not want something loud, either at idle or (especially) at sustained 75+ highway cruising. Durability, fit, and finish should all be high. I'm not interested in the JT 3" system, after reading many posts here over the past four months.
Anyone installed a Fox (german made) system from Swedish Dynamics? Any comparisons of Fox vs Sabre?
Michael Smith posed a similar question last summer but I didn't see any follow-up -- did you ever buy a stainless system or did the trans eat up all that cash?
Thanks.
