Hi,
I'm a brandnew SAAB owner. I have a '87 9kT that needs a new drivetrain on the left=front driver side from the hub all the way to the differential to include the inner driver and housing. The owner before me has it torn down to the inner driver cup. All 5 bolts have been removed from the housing as well. Then probably out of ignorance and frustration, it appears he attempted to remove the housing with a pry bar. All of the flange including the bolt holes are missing off the housing. Needless to say , I'm having a hell of a time getting the housing off the differential. Any good suggestions. I was going to try tying a rope around the cup to get better leverage but I'm afraid of doing more damage to the differential opening.
