Only cars with direct ignition (Saab's "coil-over" distributorless ignition) have a crank sensor.
Here are my other thoughts:
Perhaps the ignition coil is shot. It's possible that the coil is producing voltage, but not enough to jump the gap inside of the distributor.
How did you test the coil? If you disconnect the coil wire from the distributor, will it jump a spark (to ground) across a full .25" gap? If so, and if this spark cannot be duplicated at each of the plug wires across at least a 1/8" gap, then the problem MUST be related to either the plug wires or the distributor.
Rotor button resistance should be approximately 105 ohms.
Otherwise:
The fuel pump is blowing fuses - doesn't this indicate a serious problem with the fuel system, if not with the pump itself? Perhaps there is a clog or restriction in the fuel system. The presence of fuel in the cylinders does not tell you if the fuel pressure is high enough for the injectors to function properly.
Good Luck!
