Coolant loss?

OK, it's my turn I guess....
The coolant level's gone down from the hot max to around half way between the min and max lines (hwne hot) during the last 10.000 kms. So, I guess I've lost maybe a pint - a quart of coolant. No visible external leaks and no white smoke or emulsion in engine oil. This morning I got the "check radiator level", the coolant was on the min level when cold (-8C).
I've also noticed that I get some mist in the windows when it's below freezing and I need to use the defroster more often than last winter.
So, maybe I have a leak in the heater core. The coolant I'm using is practically odorless, so there's no smell.....
Where should I start to look for drip (inside the car?)? The carpets are all dry.
I've also had this wiring problem with the left fron SRS sensor that I heven't been able to figure out.
I've never user Bars Leak or what ever it's called. What's the consensus about this as a long term fix?
I guess I don't need to evacuate the AC, but the fan motor needs to come out - yes? Is it wise to replace the radiator too while at it?
It's a -94 CSE with ACC II.
Thanks,
Tapani
