I have been chasing a similar gremlin in my 1996 9000CS. Quite a bit different car, but a similar symptom.
Cold it starts fine, but restarts within an hour or two can take a hundred cranks.
I have lots of Saabs, so I've swapped ignition switches, Digital Ignition and Engine computer, but the problem persists.
I have a theory, that is only a few days into testing, but it goes like this;
One of the check valves in the fuel delivery system is bad. The gas drains back out of either the feed line or the return line. When the engine is cold the fuel pump fills the lines again after a crank or two, but when the engine is hot the heat from the engine causes a vapor lock in the log.
As I said, just a theory at this point, but I have been through just about everything else.
I'll be interested in hearing about what you find.
