I will be mounting the driving lights on a mount that I fabricated using a piece of "L shaped" aluminum bar stock (Home Depot). I drilled two holes on the vertical surface of the aluminum and used some longer bolts to attach it to the top two license plate mounting bolts; the lights will be bolted to the horizontal surface of the bar stock and they will be about 1 1/2 inches below, and directly in front of, the flat surface portion of the front bumper. This location should provide better down the road illumination than if I had mounted the driving lights down near the lower air inlet area.

To provide some additional rigidity to the bar stock. I attaced the top section of two metal corner brace pieces to the vertical surface of the bar stock, and the lower part of the corner brace pieces to the two lower license plate mounting bolts. This arrangement appear to have resulted in a fairly rigid platform onto which I can bolt the driving lights.

Thanks for you suggestion re using a second fog light switch to control the driving lights. Given the scarcity of post 1993 9000s at my local salvage yard (GI Auto Salvage in Pine Brook, NJ), I will need to check on whether the fog light switches from the 1992 and earlier 9000s will fit my 1994 9000 Aero. While I don't use the fog lights on my car all that much, and could use that switch to control the driving lights, it would be nice to have a separate dedicated driving light swithch and retain the fog light switch if possible.
