I finally had the time to install my almost new '90 leather seats I bought for 80 euros in a junkyard, maybe someone remember my old posts about this bargain. Unfortunatly, I found that this wasn't just a bolt-on. the first problem was that the bukclets of the front seats weren't identical between new and old seats, so they wouldn't fit my '87 belt hook. I chose to exchange the bukclets between the seats (they are bolted on the seat frame, so new seats came with new bucklets), because it was easier than changing the belt, in fact I didn't had a '90 one anyway. So. It was pretty easy, I had just to unbolt bukclets from seats, to bolt on the 87 on the 90 seats and to solder the wires. Each bucklet, the '87 and the '90, had three wires: black, brown and white. I soldered the buklets wires with the ones coming from the connector: black with black, and so on.
Doing this I noticed that driver's connector was identical between 87 and 90, but 90 pass connector had a couple wires more. I thought I could work anyway.
I was wrong.
Finally bolted seats in car. Had to deal with a brown wire of the passenger connector, wich had came off the connector. I put it back in the connector slot I thought it was right.
Results: driver's side buclet is no more lit, but pass side yes. And, much more dramatic, heated seats doesn't work. Either of them. So I cheched continuity between blue and yellow wires in the seats. OK. black and yellow. OK. Looked at the fuse. Blown. Replaced the fuse. Still good since. Checked for power at the connector, car side: 6 volts.

Now I'm about giving it up, and considering to put on my old 87 seats, but before doing so I want to try this BB, that may times had been so helpful. If anybody had informations about seat harnesses , please email them to me. I have part of the Quasi's excellent site, but I found nothing about my case, and now Quasi's site is down.

Any ideas? comments? thoughts? I'm planning to go skiing on Saturday, those heaters would be so confy...

TIA
