If you don't get one, The fuses in the fuse / relay box by the battery are the protectors and good test points for the headlamps. F1 & F3 are the brights, F2 & F4 are lowbeams. You should have full batt level at both sides of the fuses when energized. If you have a meter which can measure 10 Amps of current you can pull the tall pictogram monitor module and use the meter to jump 56b to 56bL &R for lows and 56a to 56aL &R for high beams while in current mode just to see current draw and to see if that brings up your brights in high mode. You can replace that module and remove the wide body Hi/Lo relay and meter jumper from the #30 part of the socket to the 56 a or b (same feed as above) to see if they work correctly. You can also use just a made up wire jumper to do these. On the Hi/Lo relay and the Pictogram sensor module there can be cold solder joint fractures. Resolder these after reading all the past postings from us (that'll keep you out of the pubs for awhile). I've got a CSE 5spd and CS slushbox 93's and the Saab Elec. manual; done the resolder to both.
AND the Silver Bullet (cse) will hit .2Million Miles on this tank of gas!! I love it. Let us know if this all checks out. All the stalk switch does is to momentarily ground the "S" lead of the hi/lo relay.
