transmission fill, drain, what, where? Posted by Baab [Email] (#1214) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Baab) on Mon, 6 Jan 2003 11:42:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
OK, I've been reading here for quite some time now, and I gotta say I appreciate this board. I recently bought an 88 9000t with a few issues that I have been addressing in my spare time. I don't really drive it yet, but will be soon, so I think to myself "you just got done with the left axle, left bearing, rear wing window, radiator flush, plugs, wires, cap, new tires, fixing leaks in hatch, and all, why don't you check the trans. fluid level?" Right. The Haynes manual gives two options: level plug/ drain plug/ fill plug, or dipstick. My car has neither. All I can think is that it was replaced at some time, and all I can see is a 19mm bolt that is logically where the dipstick or whatever would be. No drain plugs, no nothing else. I crawled around looking for something familiar, but nothing.(yes, I had the pass. wheel off) Has anyone else run into this?
