hi,

i have a 9k 87 with 193,000 on it. its been a good car on the whole just an alt and battery plus two wind screens but now after a broken earthing cable from the bell housing she will not start.

on my search i replaced the ignition switch and relay plus starter motor before finding the cable.

during the search for the broken cable i accidentaly melted the coil! which i replaced with a known good one. i also replaced the plugs leads cap and arm. i added a dizzy for good measure incase i had damaged that to!

i am going back to the relay to check that and i have tach bounce so i think i am right in saying the ignition amp is ok.

If i dont find the problem soon then i will scrap it and go find a new car to fix?! so any ideas would be gratefully recieved. oh i have fuel pumping to the filter. (filter one year old)
