...they already have the plugs attached, so you don't need anything else. One plug is for the power, one for the speakers, and there is a spot on the caged for the antenna lead. There is also a DIN plug that connects the CD player to the cassette.
There was a single CD player replaced the equalizer, and there was a version (around 1990) that took up three slots (cassette/equalizer/CD player), replacing the ashtray. One of the CD players needed a special sleeve that you placed the CD into before putting the CD into the player. I believe that there was a latter version of the CD player that also had a built in graphic equalizer.
