I've lived in the in the Hartford are for many years. I just purchased my 4th SAAB (95 CSE w/94k). I've used both lcoal SAAB dealers, but they're .. dealers. Over the years, I've learned to do most repairs myself. I go to a friend who does part time SAAB repairs. He has a lift in his garage, etc. 1/2 hourly rate. Let me know if you want his name. You can trust him, but I warn you, he's in demand so an appointment may take 1 month. He does my "heavy" repairs now (e.g clutch replacement, etc.)
If you feel more comfortable with a dealer, it so happens that my daughter's best friend's father is the service manager at a SAAB dealership in New london. Its typical dealer pricing, but I can trust him. I've gone there when I need some emergency work that I can't handle.
