i had to curse at the car a bit just to let it know who's boss, but got it done. the top of the dash has to come off, the big duct for the left heat vent has to come out, and it helped to unscrew the whole speedo/tach/ gauge cluster to rotate it so you can access those recessed bulbs. (hey, if it was simple it would have been done already by previous owner.) your answer as far as which bulb? i said screw it and got replacement bulbs from radio shack and soldered them into the bulb carriers myself.(12v 25ma part # 272-1141 at the shack, around $1.50 apiece.) before soldering, i checked that the bulbs were indeed dead with a low amp 12v source, then rechecked after my solder job. all went in reasonably well except i of course dropped one behind there and spent a while locating it and fishing it out. (that was the source of most the cursing.) repositioned everything, fired it up and it worked! then i put the dash together. if it's not the bulbs, i hear that the light sensitive eye in the clock facia can go t.u. as well. hope this helps...
