Funny-.. I just logged onto the site after a week and had this happen to me last night as well....
I have '97 Aero with very low Miles ( only 44K) Anyway... I am located outside Boston and last night my antenna would not go down all the way on 2 tries..) Most likely its due to the exceptionally cold weather and any water/precipitation thats underneath the antenna casing-... If you dont grage the car these things happen... I had the same issue with my old '91 9000 Turbo where after a car wash on a 38 degree day, it atcually burned the motor because it got dwon to about 1 degrees that night.....
You could clean it... Ensure that its real dry and you could also use a very, very little amount of WD40 (before careful with this because it will strip the black color off of it)... I dont know what state or the specifics of the antenna motor are for your car... But, just keep an eye on it... Its not all that cheap to replace the motor and/or put in a whole new kit.. Good Luck...
