This was one of my previous posts. but now i have come to realize that it is not leaking fluid and that the break fuild light dose come on (somebody disconnected it). All other symptoms are the same as stated.
It is oil coming from the bottome right of trasmisson. When looking at the front of car.
We recently got a 1988 (automatic)9000S. Breaks are very hard and breaking power is weak...need to really tromp on them. Brake fluid is leaking out of the system somewhere and dripping down underneath near the firewall.
1)Is this most likely a master cylinder problem? What else could it be?
2)Is this a straigthforward DIY repair?
3) I have another sabb ...a 1985 SPG for psrts can these master cylinders be exchanged? My first guess is no since the 9000 manual says ther eare anti-lock brakes and I'm not sure about the 1985 SPG.
4) Where is the best place to get the cylinder or ALB parts as we will hopefully try and DIY?
Thanks in advance.
