since the AC kicks in and the engine is loaded with a momentary drag on the belt as it kicks in the compressor. This will also stagger the alternator and if the battery is marginal it's shallowness shows up in not being able to handle the surge requested of it to make up the difference from the charging system down (voltage wise) to the battery level. Load Test the batt and alternator, any good shop should be equipped to do this for a minor if any fee. If they sell batteries they should do it as a selling point.
As for the brake application causing the blink I can only suggest that maybe (now this is the SWAG scientific wild assed guess) the ABS function is kicking in for a second. It draws big power when working. I defer to others with better experience in the brake engineering.
