Somewhere between "clunk" and "click" Posted by Justin VanAbrahams [Email] (#32) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Justin VanAbrahams) on Wed, 29 Jan 2003 16:28:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My '88 9kt just started making a noise somewhere between a "clunk" and a "click." It happens once during acceleration and once during deceleration. It's coming from the passenger side of the car. It's loud enough to hear, not loud enough to be scary. If this was a 900, I'd say a bad ball joint. It still could be, but it sounds too high up in the car to be that. I'm thinking maybe a bad strut top bearing? Anyone have any ideas? Car rides & drives fine. The noise started without any precursor two days ago - it didn't always happen but I noticed. Got worse today, and now clunk/clicks every time you step on the gas or let off the gas.
