Sorry about your theory ... IMO HG failure has more to do with the original HG design, in particular the '91-93 (or '94) design, where designing a common HG for both balance shaft and non-balance shaft engines results in "blind passages - open to flow on one end. In the stagnent region, the inhibitor is depleted and the aluminum corrodes, expands, and bursts the gasket. Fortunately, the current HG (and the one in your '95) lack this "feature."
Your warm=up procedure will do wonders for engine life, though, preventing heavy loads until the lubricant is fully circulating. And hot climates will reduce the amount of cycling of thermostats (they're open most of the timeJ), extending their life.
