Woo Hoo! Passed NJ Inspection

Quite convinced that the check engine light on my 94cs turbo was related to the failed NJ emissions test, I brought the car to the inspection station with low expectations after crimping the O2 sensor wires last night and noticing the CEL was still on. I was just going to buy more time until coming back from the business trip to bring it to a shop to fix it.
To help it along I put in a tankful of 94 octane Sunoco ultra. Well, imagine my surprise when the guy at the inspection station affixed a green sticker on the wind shield. I had to restrain my urge to hug him. The numbers were:
NOx 168 vs. 937 allowed
HC 99 vs. 124 allowed
CO% 0.42 vs. 0.69 allowed
CO2% 14.9
O2% 0.0 RPM 0
While the previously failed numbers were:
NOx 197 vs. 937 allowed
HC 155 vs. 124 allowed
CO% 1.23 vs. 0.69 allowed
CO2% 14.1
O2% 0.0 RPM 0
And the only thing I did was replacing the O2 sensor. Well, that and a tankful of high octane gas.
Now if only I can get rid of the darn CEL.
