engine miss problem solved

This is a followup to my problem listed a week ago. The engine missed on one or two cylinders usually the second time I started it. After replacing fuel filter, plugs, etc. my good friend and Saab mechanic loaned me a good DI casette and the problem went away. He ordered me a new one from some place in California and installed it. No more problems. I had replaced the DI casette just 50k miles ago. In talking to the local (Austin Texas) dealer, the parts guy told me that there had been an upgrade to the system which involved also replacing the casette harness. If you have replaced the casette recently (not likely if you have the problem), you probably have the newer harness. The connectors will not fit between the old and new system. Replacement cost me $350. I had a return e-mail from Trolhatten (spelling?) after I had already ordered my part through my mechanic friend for $311. I don't know if that included shipping or not. Hope this is helpful for you people who have the intermittent miss. To test the theory, find a known good one somewhere and see if that solves your problem before putting down the big bucks.
