OK, I think I may take the plung and purchase my first SAAB. The car is posted in the classified section, it is a '91 turbo w/140k mile, Auto trans, in good condition with up to date service and a newer DI cassette plus a new A/C compressor and lines.
The issues are with the SRS and (ABS)Antilock lights staying on. I know that the antilock might be a sensor and may not be a major deal? But as far as the SRS? I am not sure. My research on this board tells me that a Tech II/ISAT inspection must be done, which I think the current owner already had done, and it showed an open circuit?
This leads my to believe that it could be a number of things like the SRS module, the SRS sensor, clock spring, etc.? May not be a major issue if I can repair myself?
The only other thing is the car may need outer CV boot joints soon. The car makes a slight noise on full turns but there are no noticable vibrations while driving.
So should I buy it for the $2500 asking price?
