I purchased a 92 with 72,000 miles a year ago. The SRS light was on. The
ex-owner had it reset but soon after, the light came back-on. I decided to play with the connector connections. I disconnected the battery (atleast overnight). I engaged each of three connectors atleast ten times. The connectors being, on each front sensor(inside each front fender), and the one on the computer(on the hump behind the firewall). The light did not reset. The only way to reset the light is with the special tool. It has stayed off nearly a year now and 30,000 miles later. I plan to exercise the same connections again this year as a preventive measure. Make sure you disconnect the battery first if you are going to try it.
