by the DI/APC box. According to the book, this can be caused by either excessive knocking, or by a defective knock sensor. In my experience with this year car, mixture problems sometimes cause the DI/APC computer to trigger this error. You should pull fuse 23, a 5 amp fuse marked DI/APC test, for about a minute, then replace it. This resets the DI/APC box. You can now pull the codes from the LH Jetronic computer without the DI/APC codes stepping all over LH codes. The procedure for pulling the LH codes is on the Townsend site and involves grounding a terminal on the test socket under the hood on the left side of the car. See if the LH codes give you a clue as to the problem.
