Check light - Oil level - help!

I am a new owner of a 5spd 88 Saab 9000T. I had posted earlier about problems I was having with a high idle etc.

This weekend, I changed the BPC (leaking badly), and had a mechanic adjust idle for me. It seems the TPS also was not indicating Full Throttle - so that was changed. The AIC was working fine. The AMM is new. The idle behaves itself pretty well - a bit of swinging on startup that settles in a bit.

Anyways, my warning lights are now acting up. While I was driving back from the mechanic's the ABS light came on. Shutting off and starting the car again took care of that. I know the system was working 2 weeks ago when I was testing it on snow. Now the roads are dry, and I'm not too keen on jamming on the brakes just yet!

Aside from that, the "Check" light is on! As is the "Oil Level" light. Are these two separate things? Or does the Check light say that I should check the oil level? As for the oil-level, the car has a good amount of oil - within Max-Min limits. So why's the light on anyways?

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!
